I was walking around earlier today with my crap German cellphone that I can’t text Twitter with and thinking about the emerging thought-interface technology (see previous post) and how useful it would be for dictations: you could record ideas as soon as they pop into your head without pulling out a tape recorder or a journal—and if the device is hooked up to a cell phone/the Internet, liveblogging could get a whole lot more live. And then of course I had to wait 5 hours to put that thought on the webs. DANG

Funded by DARPA, of course. I’m hoping that this technology manages to make its way off the battlefield and can someday help amputees and paralyzed people get around. Either way, it looks like something out of Japanese horror.
