That point at which you discover that you actually like beer and coffee seems to be a (post)modern rite of passage: entirely subjective, no ritualistic fanfare, a personal moment. Except I guess that you can brag about it to your friends afterwards and feel the glow of being a Real Adult¹.

Nothing against beer or coffee or personal experiences, but rites of passage used to be way cooler.
